June Joy

Sean and I recently got to see baby Nina Edmiston briefly before she came from hospital. She is very cute. Nina is at home with Paul and Jodie (for a week now) so they are on the road to settling in and getting to know each other.

I had a lovely birthday last week. Thank you all for the parcels, cards, texts and calls etc. Aunty Byna and Uncle Bernard were in Sydney and they took Elise, Gisele and I out for lunch which was a great treat for me. Sean was going to take me out for dinner but it was such a wet and bleak night so we decided to stay in and have pizza and cake with Elaine and the girls.

We had a jammed packed weekend just gone with many festivities. We had lunch with my aunties, uncle and cousins in Ashfield on Saturday which means a lot to me!! Peter Jaques and his wife Lisa were there too. On Saturday night we went to Tyronne and Melissa's Houswarming party at Glebe. Elise and Gisele slept in the loungeroom of their magnificent (STUNNING) new home while all the festivities went on around them!!

On Sunday we went to Leticia Boschiero's baptism combined with Marc's 2nd birthday afterwards at Dundas. We then headed up to Blackheath in the afternoon to have dinner with Michelle and Tim to wish Michelle a Happy Birthday for Tuesday. Phew! We managed to do it all without too many complaints from the girls (They are used to being taken all over the countryside!!). Sean and I enjoyed getting to see quite a few people we hadn't seen for a while.
Here are some photos of lunch on Saturday with the Jaques clan....

I recently found a lady who can take my regular photos of the girls and turn them into fairy shots. She threw in quite a few pictures for free. I think they are soooo cute so I had to share them with you. My beautiful little fairy girls! I smile every time I see them.- wipes away all the lack of sleep :-)

This coming weekend Aunty Nicole is arriving from Perth and the Adlingtons
are coming from Newcastle. We will have an Edmiston get together for Hugo
and Gisele's birthday and so everyone can meet the new cousin Nina.
Megsy and Nate arrived safely in Dubbo today. Nigey is still on his way. They begin their new chapter living in Dubbo (bracing themselves for the cold!!). We wish them every happiness and lots of luck with the unpacking!

Teddy Bears Picnic

Big News for the Edmiston Family this week. Paul and Jodie's baby was born (5 weeks early) on 2nd June. It's a girl - Nina Anne Edmiston. They are all reported to be all doing well. Nina has to stay in hospital a little longer while she gets used to feeding. We look forward to meeting our 1st neice later on when they are all settled at home.

Last week at playgroup the girls had fun with a Teddy Bears Picnic. Elise really got into the whole theme with singing teddy bear songs and even Gisele got into feeding her teddy bear.

Our cherub Gisele is 11 months old tomorrow. Only 4 weeks until her 1st birthday. She is getting more and more expressive and determined! She is starting to pull herself up. Elise and Gisele are enjoying playing (and now fighting) together more and more these days.

We have had a lovely long weekend with the sun shining over Sydney which we hadn't seen for a while. We had cousin Jan (from Perth) over for dinner with David & Elaine Edmiston. We hadn't seen her since she moved back to Perth 2 years ago so it was good to catch up with her and all the news from the west. Peter and Tracey Baldwin and family along with Adrian, June and David Thommo were over for brunch today which was very enjoyable for us. Brunch is the middle of the day for us now so works out to be our prime time! Nige's cheesecake was a big hit this weekend with friends and family. Look out Nige will have to start charging royalties soon! Some nanna naps on the agenda now for the rest of the day. Bye for now!

One year down the track....

15 May 2009 we all gathered at the Central Coast for mum's 1st anniversary. After a tough time for us all leading up to it, it was good to be together to spend time remembering mum and rejoicing in all the grandkids.
Here is a link to all the photos from the weekend which I put on Facebook:

We went to Palmdale together to visit the grave (still awaiting the plaque). Elise had a snooze in the car. We had our usual traditional photos at the grave (which we have done with dad )
The house we stayed in at Avoca was a gorgeous spot. We had peaceful views over the lake. The kids got to feed the ducks. There were kayaks, table tennis and hot tubs (how we loved the hot tub!)
Some news in the family is that Megsy, Nige and Nate are moving back to Dubbo. All their friends and relatives are very excited as they have been lobbying them hard for a while to move back. Everyone is on the hunt for a place now for them to live.
Although we will miss our trips to the coast it will be great to have Mick and Megs in the one spot. Looks like we will be burning up more kms to Dubbo (We really need a bigger car!)
