Our Family Holiday

Last week we had a family holiday together at Lake Macquarie. We rented a house on the lake at Chain Valley Bay South. Elise now thinks all travel involves going to Dubbo so she called the holiday house the "Dubbo House".

The house was called Winji Jimmy and was well equipped with everything we needed. We went for a few paddles on the lake (Yes even Kate!!) Plus there was a playground only a few metres away and a general store across the road so we were set for the week.

Natalie, Otis, Reuben and Hugo came to visit us for the day as we weren't too far from Newcastle. Hugo and Gisele love to stand and cruise around now - won't be long 'til they can run around with the bigger kids. There was a kids room in the house stacked full of toys which was great fun but the best fun of all was a set of stairs that Elise and Gisele climbed up and down all day long????

We were lucky to have some gorgeous weather with lots of sunshine. We would go for a drive in the morning to see the sights and have nap time in the afternoon!! Nice to have a look around the area and dream about the day we can escape the big city for good????

Lake Munmorah national park was closeby so we went for a bushwalk. Elise wanted to catch some butterflies!!

Caves Beach was a lot of fun to explore!!

Gisele is now a slippery slide junky and loves a go at every opportunity - she can spot them a long way off now and gets very excited!!

Sand is messy fun too!!

Back in Sydney now. Started our next cycle of the constant winter coughs and colds....
BRING ON SPRING (no fun either for hayfever sufferers I know, but still gotta be better than sucky winter!!)
