Easter Delights

Hello All,
Here are a few pics from the Easter school holidays. Elise was off from preschool for a few weeks so I became the activity planner to get us out and about each day.
Advantage of living in Sydney is the host of FREE activities on for kids which kept us very busy. The disadvantage of living in Sydney is having to line up for ages to have this free activity!!

We went to the Family Show at Moore Park which was excellent. No entry fee, no crowds, got free parking and there were free fun things to do and rides were cheap. Thankfully the girls don't know about show bags yet so we could bypass those displays. Elise is so game she wants to go on all the BIG kids rides. I did let her go on a pony ride and a few rides for preschoolers.

We did some Easter baking which was great fun. Elise iced and decorated for hours. Gisele needed to be distracted away by me as she was more interested in just eating the icing. The girls also helped me make some crepe paper carrots for Easter decorations for presents and some markets I was attending.

The local shopping centre had easter craft and the girls made some baskets which was great fun.
We had a lovely afternoon tea sharing our creations with Aunty Byna and Uncle Bernard and packing some goody bags for the Sparrows and Thommos for Easter.

The girls were so thrilled and very lucky to receive this beautiful doll house from Maeve Sparrow. Maeve is growing up and had finished playing with it so very kindly passed it and many beautiful dolls, dollhouse furniture and books on to the girls. As you can see it is as very tall. THANK YOU MAEVE and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS for your 1st prize in the Eisteddford for ballet!

Here is some more fun patting the alpaca at the animal petting farm at Top Ryde shopping centre. The alpaca was so calm while the kids swarmed around it.

More face painting fun at the Castle Hill RSL - such a great space in the courtyard with a playground and lots of activities for kids on a Tuesday. Elise was determined to have her face painted and waited in line for over an hour to get it done. We had to get a photo of this.

Elise loves designing castles and houses at the moment. Here are some of her creations. Maybe she will take after her Aunty Nicole to be an architect??? I am sure she will explore many interests and dreams in her lifetime. Exciting to see how she develops.

Here is our gorgeous Gisele Belle. Looking more and more grown up. Not long now until she is 3. We are going to art and move together now while Elise is at preschool and she LOVES it.

We went to many many playgrounds over the holidays. There were some great ones around Lake Macquarie. Especially at Speers Point- they are even making it bigger than it already is.

Easter weekend we spent at Lake Macquarie as Sean was sailing in the state titles. We stayed in a house along with Bryson- Sean's crew and his mum Chris who was also sailing at the regatta. We had this beautiful view from the house at Coal Point with steps down to the water. We were lucky the weather was gorgeous. There was a classic boat festival on at Toronto with a fair so we hung out there one morning.
Here is belle belle on Easter morning.
Here is Lissy Lou. She easily races to the top of the climbing jungles now. No fear!

Here are the girls trashed at the end of Easter day. Soo exhausted. Sean did well and came 6th in the state titles in a big fleet of boats. The top competitors are out sailing for days and weeks in the lead up to the titles and these days Sean just turns up without much preparation at all so he is doing very well.

Time now to focus on finding a school for Elise for next year. I can't believe it!!

Congratulations to Paul and Jodie and Megs and Nige on their recent house purchases. Nat and Brett have moved into their new house this year - big year for new houses! Not long to go now until Mark and Dani have their 1st baby - we await the good news.
Happy 90th Birthday to great -grandad Edmiston.

May is here and will be a busy one for us so we will have more posts to share before too long!

Autumn Activities

Left: Here is a picture Sean took of Grandad walking with the girls
Right: Here are the girls with one their playmates- Madeline, who they see everyday at the DOG park

There was a preschool picnic on the weekend and the kids had their faces painted. They all waited in line very patiently, watching it all. Elise wanted to be a tiger GRRRRRR

Gisele wanted to be a butterfly so she could flutter-flutter-flutter

The following day we went to Bicentennial park for a picnic and the girls loved climbing the trees.

We went to one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen on the weekend. Angeline & Geoff got married at Kincoppel Chapel followed by a reception at Dunbar House at Watsons Bay. The chapel was gorgeous and they looked soooo beautiful! We all blew bubbles as they walked out the church.

Attention to detail was incredible and there were 3 vases of stunning flowers on every table. What is even more mazing is that they organised it all from London, were they have both been living for the past 4 years.

The food was totally delicious, loved the champagne, the breathtaking views of the harbour and a brilliant live band. BIG thanks to Adi & June for looking after the girls for us that night so we could be present at this very special occasion.
